My grandma has this portrait of Martin Luther King Jr. on her wall and he's making a really serious face and when you walk by it it looks like the eyes are following you.. I never wanted to spend the night there

Yes, in fixed images things that are pointed at the observer remain pointed at the observer no matter what you do. It's actually rather amazing when technology makes this NOT true, with holograms or VR headsets.
