Blizzard used to be a great company that made great games, but not anymore. They don't care about what their players want, and just make their games with as many micro-transactions as they can. They've become all about money in recent years.
You right. I was kinda cheese that they split up all three races in starcraft 2 like campaign wise instead of giving us 3 pieces of each like in the og. So if you like protoss you gotta wait forever for the campaign
Valve literally released a game where you pay to play, then you pay to enter leagues to get more cards.
Also Fallout is a decent game and the fans are afraid of change. The game is fun with people, and like rockstar, the game had a bad start but give it time and it will get better.
To be fair an online fallout has been requested. Also they have wanted to do something like this for a while. It isn't fallout 5 and is not even pretending to be. It's the answer to the question "what if fallout 4 was online". It also has some good stories in the form of environment storytelling like terminals, notes and holotapes. Fallout 76 is not at all as much of a cash grab.
