^ Biology, bitches! Not the only point why this allegory doesn't work though. An oyster will form a pearl only when foreign matter enters its body, for protection. Nacre (aka mother-of-pearl) will form around the object so it cannot harm the organs, so the allegory doesn't even work when you make it from a religious pov, as in some higher being puts something inside you that will become your "treasure". Humans crack oysters up to collect the treasure so for the oyster it's a curse. Not much winning here.
