I think that most members of the LGBTQ community feel that non LGBTQ relationships are fine and aren't opposed to them "in their spaces". So long as everyone is cool about it. It's only a problem if a straight person is offended by advances (if you don't want to be hit on ny the same sex, maybe a gay bar isn't a great place to hang out is what I'm saying). Atleast that has been my experience.
I mean sort of. Except the north won the civil war in the United States, and that's definitely an answer you'll get from Americans.
Just like the revolutionaries won the French Revolution. (Though, maybe that's leaving out a lot of complexity) The Huguenots won the French Wars of Religion (though they also converted to Catholicism and Herny IV of France never had particularly good relations with his nobility or the catholic church, so perhaps it's fair to way no one won that war). And King Luis XIV won the Fronde.
Civil war doesn't mean there aren't distinct sides that have their own ways of being distinguished.
Also, I think its important to remember civil war often leaves the region less stable and with a lot of dead on their hands, regardless of who is victorious. So perhaps it's more accurate to say the Americans lost their civil war and the French lost their civil wars than it is to say either won their civil wars.
That is like asking Americans who won the civil war. The Americans won it.
