Well, we've got this little thing down here called "The South", perhaps you've heard of it? If you'd like to borrow it and see how much you can get done with them around, you're more than welcome.
A lot of Canadians come down from the border to the Unites States for medical help because of their amazing health care. I've talked to a few and they say that the Unites States is doing it right. Some of them would've had to wait 2 months to get seen. That's definitely better than here in the Unites States where your seen immediately.
Then the Canadians you're talking to are a bunch of whiners. As someone with cancer, I was diagnosed and into surgery within weeks. Things are prioritised here. If it takes two months to be seen, it could wait the two months. The biggest issue we have with our healthcare system is it being clogged with people who haven't bothered to take care of themselves. If you removed all the smokers with lung cancer and the obese people with heart conditions, our healthcare system would be outstanding.
Although I don't agree with giving those that cause their own health conditions inferior healthcare, your point still stands, so I don't understand why this was downvoted
Probably by someone who is obese or smokes... I didn't say they should receive inferior health care or be second rate, but if people took better care of themselves we'd have a lot better of a health care system for sure.
