If I could take that advice and talk to a lot awesome people, I would have more friends. But that‘s risky *retreats behind my walls*

The saying isn't "if you like her, go talk to her and she'll be your girlfriend without question."
Maybe it's just advice in the sense that you might regret it if you choose to not talk to her?
