Tbh I'm not huge on jrpgs either but that's because I'm too stupid to understand them :(

Most of the atlus ones aren't too complex, but the recent Final Fantasy and the kingdom hearts series are... not beginner friendly.

The only traditional JRPG I'm good at is Etrian Odyssey, which I fucking adore and is seriously underrated, but stuff like FF and Bravely Default and whatnot is hard for me to understand (I do enjoy KH, but thats mostly just hitting things and blocking at the right time)
