You could still pick it up though.
Some could drive by, take it, toss it in the back of their car and then you don't have a bike anymore.

the backwheel would be locked in place, the spokes wouldnt be able to get by the lock on the seat.......however you'd still need to chain it or something as somebody could just walk off with it
