Okay but...I'm currently doing my bachelor of human nutrition, and a vegan diet is fine IF DONE RIGHT. The problem is a ton of parents have no idea what they're doing when they feed their kids a vegan diet, and leave out things that are completely necessary (vitamin B12 supplements, foods such as hemp seeds, etc) and cause their kids to have a deficiency. Statistically, you're actually more likely to have a micronutrient deficiency as an omnivore - it's just less likely to be a super dangerous one. Veganism isn't the problem. Neglect and carelessness is.

I know about B12 but what are these elusive amino acids everyone is talking about? So is it ok to stuff your kids with bacon and grease and potato chips but it's not ok to give them proper food. Gimme a break
