Actually she isn't the one paying them, it's the garment manufacturers. I work in a factory myself in Bangladesh. Work hours can extend up to 13 to 15 hours a day, and pay for workers can be as low as $40 a month. Under-the-table deals are made so that the government looks the other way as labour laws are blatantly ignored. All of this leads to low cost of manufacturing and faster production cycles, which is why brands go to these companies with bulk orders. Sorry for the rant, it just breaks my heart to see these people work so hard to get so little in return.
