A lightyear is a measure of distance, not time. Not sure what 10 lightyears later would mean.

Whoops! Well let's convert that to time, as in, the time it would take to travel that particular distance(in this case, 10 lightyears). Let's say between 43,000 - 250,000 years, depending on the speed of the spacecraft used.
