Doesn't africa kinda do the same thing? I mean not use a tortilla but tear off a bit of this yellow spongy bread and use it to pick up pieces of saucy food? Sorry if I sound like an unworldly idiot, but i just kinda wonder.

The Africans do that yes, I see it and have to live with it as I'm a mannered European person who is hated in this country.

It's just showing how the three different cultures eat things. Americans use forks, Chinese use chop sticks, and Mexicans just wrap everything in a tortilla.

In Ethiopia they have bread plates of ingera and pull pieces of the bread off and use it to scoop the food. It's pretty yummy :3
