Choosing pronouns is such troublesome but I enjoy it.
The pronoun you pick shows how you see the person and how you expect them to see you, it helps people see which path and relationship you're looking for with them.
When I first started learning English (and French too) I was rather relieved knowing most pronouns simply are about gender and number of the subjects.
Bc pronouns in Vietnamese are a mess! Is the person older? Younger? What kind of job are they doing? Are we relatives? Or are they my parent's friends? Are they younger or older than my parents??? And if you pick the wrong pronoun, they may think you're trying to insult them or you're just a brat!
.
In short, languages are beautiful and they all got their ups and downs.
Trying to learn a new language is always amazing and you should be proud of yourself for that.
