Bravo to that police and fire department or at least those responders for their education! I believe thisnis what we need more education in public service departments. To some people it comes natural but not to others. I believe we need more education on cultural differences but also on disability and autism spectrum.

I couldn't do that. I won't patronize people, especially not when I could be rendering aid, securing the scene, or communicating the situation to dispatch.
The cop wasn't asking permission to treat her, he was asking if she was comfortable partly removing her hijab in front of a strange man - huge difference. If you think that ensuring a patient's comfort is patronising then you're not ready to be giving any kind of care.
