I always call them face rubs. I also like it when they come to sit on your stomach or lap, and they'll prod their paws in a way that is incredibly uncomfortable, but it's worth it.

That's actually one of the ways a cats marks it's territory. Its essentially saying it owns you.

I love how everyone thinks that dogs love you more just because they slobber and jump on you when you walk in. They might be more hyper, but that doesn't mean they love you more. My sister runs and hugs my mother when she gets home and spastically tells her every second of the night, and I just say "hi mom" but that doesn't mean I love her less. It just means I'm calmer >> And I think these jokes can even be funny, but this one seemed to imply that the maker actually believed that dogs were better. :/
