Trees?...... Really we are gonna start that argument? How about the energy burned using electricity to power all your electronics and the natural resources wasted on the product itself?

Plus there's life after death. You're reading something that was once alive, giving it use even after death.
But the real books cost more money and take up space. As much as I love them more than digitally, I can't afford it. Because I would constantly have to buy new bookshelves, and I have to pay for that. Plus I don't have the space for them.
They don't take up that much space. Besides, you live with your parents, right? Sounds like THEIR problem. Just take that $$$ they were gonna use to buy you redundant gadgetry, and buy some bookshelves, instead. Btw, who doesn't have bookshelves in their house already?
Hey, and when you move out, here's a helpful hint. You can find decent, or at least serviceable, furniture at yardsales super cheap.
I got my interest in reading from my dad. Yes we do have bookshelves. But they're all his and very overcrowded. He has 3 wide ones that go from the floor to the ceiling in a small room that we have for the computers, video games, etc. I have a very small one in my room that has no room left. I don't have space for a second one. I have some money that I can buy a few books. But right now, I'm saving up for my first car, cause my parents aren't buying mine, althought I've been 16 for a while and don't even have my permit yet.
