I'm going to start doing this. Not even joking. Started getting a ton of junkmail ever since I bought a house. There's even one company that wants me to "renew" my homeowners insurance with them, even though I'm already covered. With another company. There's other trickery, too, but you get the idea. There should seriously be a law against practices like that.

where i live you can just put a sticker that says "keine werbung" (no junkmail) on you mailbox/door/whatever and you're fine.. i thought it was like that everywhere..

In the United States, we can have stickers on doors that say no soliciting but not stickers that say no junk mail. But that's a good idea.

What they NEED to do here is charge more to mail junk. That would help keep the postal service intact and/or reduce the amount of junk mail we have to deal with.

It used to be that you could tape one if those envelopes on a box of rocks or whatever and send it back to them because it's prepaid but I think there are laws about that now because of people doing exactly that
