I'm just going to point out that meowth isn't the only talking pokemon AND pikachu is supposed to be stronger than normal and is definitely not useless

I was watching a newer episode and there was a scientist who was all " HOLY SHIT IT'S A TALKING POKEMON OHMAGAWD

1. Ash's Pikachu is unusually strong for its species.
2. Meowth is not the only talking Pokémon.
3. Meowth can't even fight and gets his ass kicked every episode.
