That's the moon. It looks like the sun because of the long exposures the camera needs to capture the milky way bright enough. Therefore the moon becomes brighter than it should be and looks like a sun.

Space doesn't make any sense.. Aren't we IN the Milky Way?! How can we see it? Wouldn't every night sky be the Milky Way?...

Yes, every night sky the milky way if yo face in the correct direction. It's just that you have to go to places without light pollution too see it. We are on the outer side of the milky way, so what we're seeing in the rest of it inside towards the center.
