No, that's because either someone choked and sued, or because anyone who would want any are too far away.

Weren't people throwing food away out of fear of poising others and getting sued? Or was it a prevention. I don't remember

But last year during the growing season since farmers had too much produce and nobody to sell to, they started boxing up the food and giving it out to people who needed it for free
