Hello there american catholic here with 12 years of catholic school teaching just popping in to say that all Catholics believe that everyone deserves to go to heaven and that we should help them get there. Catholics have no problem with gay people, what Catholics have a problem with is gay sex because Catholics believe that sex is only for having children hence no sex before marriage and no contraceptives. Just wanted some of you guys to know that, if you don't believe me pick up a catechism of e Catholics church it has everything Catholics believe in it simplified and easy to understand.

Because it does not help your case by typing like a six year old. If you really want to make an impact, use good spelling and grammar. It is more effective.

Being an atheist doesn't mean being disrespectful to someone's beliefs. It doesn't matter if you don't agree with their opinions, it still doesn't give you an excuse to be an ass. I apologize to all religions for the actions of my fellow atheist.

Why do people care? It's their life, honestly do have so little to do with your life that you actually care if gays are having sex? Get a life and show some tolerance because being gay isn't a sin and people should leave gays alone

Guys hes right. The bible isnt like wikipedia where you can just change shit and make it so. Most religious people will disregard his judgement on this because the ancient text they hold so dearly has been drilled into their heads since the day they were baptised.

Catholic here again we believe the pope is infallible on matters of dogma, meaning the pope cannot be wrong when it comes to matters of faith. Also you are confusing Catholics with fundamentalists, Catholics do not believe in the bible word for word it is interpreted and then a basic belief is brought out of it, go check out the catechism if you want to know what is "drilled into our heads from the day we are baptized."
