I have lived in a country town in Australia and I have never seen a snake or spider or anything, apart from in the zoo!

You, sir/ma'am, are a liar! I see spiders everywhere, and have seen quite a few snakes in my lifetime. Maybe you're living somewhere too cold, but don't try and downplay the fact that Aussie wildlife is downright deadly
