Gee, I sure hope no powerful sociopaths would wave around my works in a vain attempt at

i catch rides into work with my brother (we work in the same company) and he’s a staunch socialist teetering towards communism, and everytime the conversation comes up and i point out that there have been very few (if any) successful communist governments and nations, he replies “that’s because real communism has never been effectively employed. it keeps getting hijacked by personality cults and greedy sociopaths”. and, because he can be a windbag and usually rants in these conversations i make polite noises and let the conversation drop, because my reply otherwise would be “well, maybe that’s why it doesn’t work…”
pure capitalism, sucks. socialism, sucks. communism, sucks. fascism especially sucks. my thinking is it takes a bit of each of the first three for anything to get done, and even then it’s a crapshoot.
