Ya there's sex in the book but it's a love story, there's suspense...the only people who make fun of the book are the people who haven't read it...

Considering what's said on that paper, I would think whoever typed it has read the book, otherwise they wouldn't know anything about the relationship or how the book portrays BDSM. And even if the book is amazing, that doesn't mean there isn't better (at least in this person's opinion) than stuff for free on the internet.

He could have heard about the book from other people or they could have just looked it up. That is what I did when I wanted to read the book but didn't want to waste money on it if I wasn't going to like it....and coming from someone who is a sub, have been one for 5 years....its pretty damn accurate.

Yeah? But my friend who read it hates it. She says there's a part of the book where the girl gives the safe word. And he doesn't stop. Sexy? No. There's a difference between BDSM and rape. That's rape.

As long as everyone knows that it's not appropriate for reality, it is a fictional story. Some people might be turned on by it, and not just from Grey's perspective. No, no one should actually aspire to be in a relationship like this, but some people are turned on by rape... speaking as someone who is.
