It is painful, unfortunately the people that feel the pain are the ones that do not suffer from stupidity. You see, stupidity is a virus that inflicts its pain on others.
Many people may find quoting the founder of the Church of Satan and the author of the Satanic Bible a little controversial, mainly because it is a very widely disputed issue. You may argue that other beliefs are also disputed, but what LaVey preached is very different. Your way of writing suggests offence, and I assure you I intended none of that. I was merely enquiring whether or not it was in fact Anton LaVey, and if so, is that not an issue of sensitivity to some people.
I once again would like to stress the fact that I in no way am criticizing anything, just asking a question based on some things I have heard.
Please do help me in understanding how the work of LaVey was not controversial.
Ill just put it like this: what religion isnt controversial? Now you cant look for that answer from the point of view of i dont know... A christian society. Because then of course satanism might seem controversial. But if you were to look at christianity from a strict say...muslim society then that makes christianity controversial.
The truth is everything is controversial in some way...i dont think burning other people for their belief isnt something..."odd"
Oh goodness, I am not attempting to burn you for your religion! I completely understand your point. However, if I were to argue back, it would probably continue and to be quite honest, I don't feel comfortable criticizing something I don't know. I just want to clarify once more though, I meant no offense nor criticism, I was just asking a question
