Thats not necessarily what "confirmed" means. If you look through a scope and see them die, if you launch an RPG and don't see the deaths, it isnt confirmed unless you go over and look.

You're still counting and recording kills, usually for some asshat politician to use later to fan the flames of the people's approval for the war, lest they realize what a pointless waste it all is, instead of focusing on the task at hand.
