I've never really understood how mood rings work. Yeah, something to do with the temperature of your skin, but how is it supposed to gauge your mood based on that?

Your body temperature *slightly* fluctuates with your mood. Not nearly enough to make a mood ring work properly, particularly in cold or hot places, but yeah.
