To be fair, you'll spend ~8 hours sleeping + an hour or 2 before and after sleeping in that room. Thats nearly half of your time spent in your room. Shouldnt skimp out too much on it

Older I get, the pickier sleeper I am. Bed's too hard, shades don't keep sun out, neighbors are banging all night, the only stations are in spanish... Fortunately I'm accomplished enough to afford the frivolties of nice sleep which can really make the rest of the trip worth it or a total drag.

I have a problem with this one. I just got back from vacation and the house we rented really brought the whole experience together. What happens when you don't want to do anything and just chill out duck?

I would rather sleep in an expensive and clean hotel room than a roach infested cheap one

Amen. I friggin hate expensive hotels. I take my own bedding and my gun. Just give me the friggin mattress, AC and locked door and I'm good.
