The cartoon and the games aren't the same, you little shit. The game is like any other game. It's restricted. You can't do every single thing that can be done in the cartoon. It's kinda like complaining about Ash being able to walk between trees and even climb them. You might as well also start complaining when pokemon evolve during battles. That's an error right? Complaining about Pinsir using tackle? Even magikarp can use that. Now just let that sink in for a minute. Dig is barely even a move. The impact is actually a normal type hit because sandshrew didn't use something like earthquake. It's like popping out from the ground and using tackle. But even so, a move like mud shot deals some damage because the move is a projectile and can hit the flying. Unlike the games, the cartoon is produced and constantly managed by people who think, not codes that tell you "it doesn't affect butterfre..."
