Leather is made from catlle hide ,animals that we are going to kill and eat anyway so we might as well use all of it.In the case of furs you just kill the animal to make yourself look pretty

well if you're willing to kill,skin and eat a fox or a chichilla then you must be pretty down on your luck so i guess it's okay
