Forget about the world! What about our own individual countries? Well I didn't want to say America, because there is a large chance that a lot of you aren't American, but I'm mainly thinking about America at the moment, as the rest of you should think about your own countries. Take care of your own country, and we all flourish as a global community.
But if we also take care of other countries then we could flourish as a global community much more easily, and also hopefully create bonds and friendships with those countries and their citizens
Well America in my opinion, isn't doing it in a productive way. There are countries out there like England, who have good foreign relations with practically everyone.
I think the real thing we need to think about isn't what people we don't know and can't help don't have - that will do nothing for us and it won't put perspective in our lives. We need to think about what we're doing to those people who we complain about or to. Your parents got you what they probably thought was a really nice gift and you complain that it's the wrong color? Why not be grateful towards them instead? Express how much you love them and the gift - even if you don't love it that much or it wasn't what you really wanted. Because those people deserve better than your selfish, bitchy complaining about the color of your gift.
There is only one problem with African countries : Governments. Look at South Africa 30 years back I mean except for apartheid it was a great country. Now we can't keep the Airforce flying and the country has been driven into the ground, we have the highest murder rate in the world and it is 10 RAND PER DOLLAR I mean WAT DE HELL???!!!
What if I told you that most people in the world aren't this spoiled, and singling out one person from the safety of your desk and going on a rant online isn't deserving of respect?
I actually do think that the world is a bit spoiled nowadays. People complain about simple everyday things without considering what others are actually going through right now. We take things for granted.
Just my opinion though.
Same here. My family is going through a rough time. My parents do what they can to make us happy (important things with some luxuries sprinkled in sometimes) and I hear people in school not appreciating what they have. It gets me very mad >:(
Just my opinion though.
