I've never had a teacher like that. They've always seemed secretly grateful that the students are smart enough to help him/her out with his/her job.

It's always been the more talking in class thing that pisses them off. You know, after they do a horrible job explaining and they're either continuing to explain horribly or we're supposed to be working silently, then they get mad if you help another student.
