Because now, every text, email, phone call, paper mail, book, etc, etc. every piece of data anywhere ever is monitored

The NSA "got in trouble" for spying on the American people in the 60's. This is nothing new.

Um, guys, the NSA has been doing this stuff for ages. I remember watching a PBS thing about them when I was in the fourth grade. That was six years ago.
