That's true, but that hog was shot near where I live, and it is currently the biggest on record.

Thinking logically now, if a pig breed that size actually existed (it doesn't), all western farmers would surely have bred them by now to produce vast quantities of pork in comparison with standard pigs. Capitalist logic solves the mystery once again.

If you read the article it tells you that it took 8 shots and one point blank shot to the head after 3 hours of chasing it to kill it.

Guys seriously. That hog isn't that big. The whole thing is photoshopped. That boar looks almost as big as a rhino, but if you look at it's from leg (tucked under its head) it's got short stubby legs. Anything we see near that size (Buffalo, Bulls, Rhino's, Elephants, Etc) have massive, thick, tree-trunk like legs to support themselves. This thing doesn't. If it was real, it would barely be able to move.

Buffalo, bison, and bulls all have relatively skinny legs compared to their body mass, so there goes your point. Also, pigs have relatively short, skinny legs compared to the body size. AND because this hog's leg is tucked up under itself, you can't really tell how it is shaped and how big it is. I don't think your point is valid. And my last point... most of the muscle that is used to support an individual is in the shoulder or hip/buttock area. Look at horses, they barely have any muscle from the knees/hocks down. There isn't much above that either. But their shoulder and rump are extremely muscular.
