We had a bird person in high school. She brought her peacocks in her shirt and their heads would poke out during class and she would feed them and rub them.

We had a small zoo at school. She adopted the peacocks and sometimes the animals would jump in the windows and run through the school so the teachers were used to animals running around. I wish I was making this up.
