Does everything have to have a romantic subplot? I go to a superhero movie to watch some justice be served and see bad guys get beat up. If I wanted smooching, I'd go watch a Nick Sparks movie...

Seriously, leave the romance out. It's almost as bad as the kid subplots in Homeland, Seasons 1&2 of 24, Ray Donovan, etc.
