My dad is a Commamder in the US Navy, the CO of a Test Pilot Squadron and alternates between Tae Kwon Do championships and Marathons. If you want to get your ass beat/arrested/shot/killed, go for it.

I know this is really old, but I think that's cool that that's your dad's job. I myself want to go into the Navy.
