Okay, reading is not just memorizing words. For instance, read this word: "zaphoralinkatol." Odds are, you have never seen this word, thus you could not have memorized it. But you can (kind of) "read" it because you can sound it out in your head. In conclusion, you cannot read; you merely memorize letters and the sounds they correspond to.
