At least red knew that there is atoms in paper. Little do either of them know that I takes an intense, continuous stream of neutrons to split an atom

Yeah, and the reason paper is even cut by scissors is because the atoms of the scissors touch the atoms of the paper and repel each other a little bit. The same thing that keeps us from falling through everything.

We don't even need to go to the atomic level. Molecules of the scissor can't split cellulose bonds.
