Just did something similar; got home at 2AM after flying from NC to WA, boss texts me "arriving in WA at 8AM". Offered to pick him up. He accepts. Shit.

Offering food and offering favors are two different things. Don't get mad because someone accepts your voluntarily going out of your way for them. It's better to be the person that never offers help than to be a little bitch, although barely.
