They should put one in that they have no intention of eating and do something nasty to it so the thief will get a surprise

Btw, I'd suggest wiping your ass with another lean pocket and leaving it for him to steal again, but as he'd not be able to notice the difference, it'd be impossible to teach him a lesson this way.
