When it's "poisonous" it's only deadly if you bite it. Venomous means if it bites you, it's deadly. So the 'pillars cant really harm you unless you try to eat it

They might also have spines; so don't touch random vested caterpillars, people!

Or if you don't properly wash your hands and/or lick them before they're clean. Also any open cuts or wounds could be problematic.

Pack saddles we call them pack saddles. Cause it looks like they have saddles. And yeah they sting. Although the vest thing is much better.
