But fewer average or below-average people would apply to college out of fear. You'd end up with a bunch of Honor Roll assholes thinking they can beat the system. The next generation of college graduates would be entirely composed of Sheldon Coopers.
Tell me you're joking. Society goes broke from too many people getting free education, the only people with degrees are complete douchebags, and thousands of kids with potential were scared away from pursuing a college career.
It rewards the people who don't take it seriously, but because they have rich parents or are naturally good at academic-type work, they get through. On the other hand, you have tons of bright kids who weren't raised in the most nurturing of environments, but they're scared to go to college because if anything happens and they can't make it, their family will become buried in a mountain of debt they can never pay. Honestly, how is this so difficult for you to grasp?
And how, pray tell, are we going to be able to pay the teachers, not to mention the rest of the staff, with this system?
So tired of these Twittards deluding themselves into thinking they're geniuses.
A downthumb is not an answer, to the 1 guy in the dunce cap.
