Or nuclear war. That's how my Public Speaking professor explained the slippery slope fallacy: I didn't buy milk today, so the grocery store didn't make enough money this month, so they had to close it, which caused everyone to starve, so people started rioting, therefore the government sent in the army, which pissed off the state, who started a revolution, which caused the government to fire a nuke that killed the whole world. And that's why he NEVER forgot to buy milk on the way home.
