Pinocchio, Madeline, Greg Heffley, Rip Van Winkle, LeVar Burton, (Though he isn't a charter in a book.) 3 blind mice, Humpty Dumpty, Curious George, the wolf and Red Riding Hood, Raggedy Anne and Raggedy Andy, 3 bears and Goldie locks, and I guess Captain Ahab, 3 little pigs and big bad wolf, Clifford, The hungry Caterpillar, and the Mr. Men and Little Miss gang.

Don't get wrong I love reading but most of those characters are in shows to so your argument is invalid
