To prevent a loss of product, just find some clay and stick it to the sides until you end up rounding out 4 of the sides to make a crude cylinder that you can roll to your destination. Once you reach the destination, simply scrape off the excess clay. If they are making something with rocks then there's a chance that the clay might also be useful for something.
