I don't have to listen to you. I don't have to get out. I have the right to voice my own opinion. No one deserves a thumbs up for being attracted to anyone. And just because you're attracted to someone sexually doesn't mean you love them.
I'll agree that being attracted to someone is no accomplishment. However, people can upvote what they like. For all you know, they like that I'd be able to get that trillion dollars with no effort whatsoever.
I agree that should be able to happen, but (in America) our very recent history had criminal charges attached to acts of "homosexuality," like public displays of affection, gathering for meetings/social reasons (remember Stonewall?), and just a few years ago the last law banning private sexual acts of gay men was overturned.
Even with that, there are still states where you can be fired for being gay, where you can be denied equal housing rights, marriage, etc.
Being openly GLBTQI should not be a political or brave statement, but it is. That's why there is even this idea that you'd have to be paid to pretend- one day that will seem ridiculous
