Well, sometimes you have to realize a joke is just that. A joke. Life is too short to take offense to jokes just because they hit close to home. If everyone was like that, there'd be no such thing as comedy, since most jokes tend to be potentially offensive to one party or another.
The plus side is that it can help you get over some things by being able to laugh at them.
I'd say laugh with them not at them. I see your point and while I disagree with it for certain subjects, I respect it and will fight for your right to have it.
Well, yeah. Nobody is laughing at people with PTSD. That would be stupid. We're meant to laugh at the ridiculousness of the extreme exaggeration that doing this is a perfectly viable option to help remember test material.
I know that I'm probably more sensitive about this due to personal experience, but I'd still say that in my opinion this crosses a line about trauma-based humour. But either way, it's their right to post what they find funny as long as it complies with site rules, and I will respect that.
I agree with mgoveia, look at #5, I'm sure that could offend someone who may never be able to walk again, but you thought it was funny, or atleast didn't find it offensive.
