This is terrible. Why can't both kids and adults be taught that in public you should try to respect the needs and comforts of those around you? The kid was being obnoxious.

If that guy didn't want to hear a singing toy, then he shouldn't have been in the toy section. And since he wasn't the kid's parent he has no right to discipline him when he wasn't hurting anyone.
