That would make food production so much more efficient.

Not really,it would take time to graft a tomato plant to the potato roots,it would be a lot easier to have them as separate plants,and you would kill the plat every time you wanted to harvest the potatoes,while when it is just a tomato plant you can take off the tomatoes and keep the plant alive a lot longer

nightshades, isn't that what that girl from nightmare before xmas puts in her master's drink? all so, isn't nightshade from the family that the berries from the hunger games were idk

Nightshade is the real world version of the Nightlock in the Hunger Games. I'm not sure about the nightmare before christmas thing, but i'm pretty sure the actual plant of Nightshade is toxic.
